Natural Leather Journal with White Heart Decoration, "Pure Love"

This journal is bound in a special way, an original technique that divides the front cover in two halves that open like a window to reveal the inside of the book. The binding is made in natural leather that was not dyed, it has a beautiful light cream color with slightly darker shades and a few lighter accents. It has a feminine romantic look. I chose this very elaborate decoration which I blind tooled into the leather to give the impression of lace, or perhaps of a stone sculpture where the main feature is the tactile, bi-dimensional perception. The heart symbol was painted white and an aged finish was applied around it. White color has, among others, the symbolism of pure love.

The book measures 5x5.3 inches (12.5x 13 cm). It is filled with aged looking paper with parchment texture. This is acid free, 90 gsm weight paper that beautifully combines color and texture to give a perfect natural earthy background for your writing. It will work great for writing in wet and dry media.

The endpages are made of hand marbled paper with a brown and white veins. The notebook is closing in front with a natural leather stripe.

This journal is an art object. Would make a great diary and / or a present for the one you love. It can also be an original guest book for your wedding or the secret notebook where you put down your vows.
