Suede journal with tooled and painted floral decoration - In Bloom

This journal is bound in yellow suede with a textured wavy pattern. It has beautiful tones of orange brown and was decorated by tooling and hand painting with motifs of leaves and branches in black leather dye and an antique finish was applied to the overall.

The book a little over 6x8 inches (15.5x21 cm). It has 150 pages (300 sides) of Favini Shiro Alga paper, an ecological paper produced from algae in Venice Lagoon. The seaweed particles are visible on the surface to give a unique natural look and its ivory color makes it fit perfectly the overall old feel of this book. The paper is hand torn, has 120 gsm, and it will hold well ink, dip pens, gel and ball pens, markers and any dry media. 

The end pages are made of hand marbled paper with black and white veins.
The headbands were hand sewn from black and grey color threads.
