Dark Blue Leather Journal with gold floral decoration. The Midnight Garden

This elegant journal is bound in dark blue goatskin with antique finish. The cover were decorated in fine detail, with a timeless design with intricate gold floral motifs. The decoration was made with heated brass tools, each small element at a time, using a combination of free hand tooling and fleurons like leaves and very fine points.

The notebook measures 10.2 x 7.3 inches (26 x 18.5 cm). It has 104 pages (208 sides) of Favini Laguna artist paper with parchment finish. This paper is acid free, hand-torn, has 180 gsm and will work for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.

The headbands were sewn from blue and gold threads. It creates a beautiful model at the head and the tale of the book. The endpapers are made of hand marbled paper with blue, grey and yellow veins.
