Small alchemic leather journal with painted decoration, Green and gold on black antiqued leather - Four Elements of the Universe

This small journal is hand bound in antiqued black leather and decorated with imitation gold leaf, hand painted with a leaf ornament. The center depicts the four elements of the universe, Fire, Water, Air e Earth. The painting was sealed and it is also protected by the slightly raised border around it. I wanted to give this little book the look of a mysterious alchemic book that intrigues by its antique occult appearance, to give it character to appear as being used in ceremonies and ritual practices. 

The book measures 3.7x 5.3 inches (9.5x13.5 cm). It has around 90 pages (180 sides) of tea stained, hand torn Modigliani artist paper (140 gsm). This paper is perfect for writing and sketching in any media. The endpapers are made of screen printed paper with gold geometric motifs on green background.

I created this journal in two copies so please note when you receive it that it might show small differences due to the handmade nature of this work.
