Burgundy leather journal with hand tooled gold decoration, Precious Moments

This journal was inspired by Christmas and by the joy of this time of the year. It is bound in rich burgundy leather with beautiful grainy texture. The covers are decorated by tooling with gold foil with a free decorative pattern of leaves and branches that go around forming a complex frame. Each small element was tooled by hand one at a time. The spine is decorated in the same technique combined with gold painting.
It is certainly a one of a kind binding, unique in its detailed decoration. I imagine if Santa would have a journal it would look something like this :) Of course it could serve as a family book, an album, a wedding guest book, a heirloom to pass to the next generations.
The notebook measures 7.2 x 10.2 inches (18.5 x 26 cm). It has 104 pages (208 sides) of Fabriano artist quality paper, warm white, slightly textured, hand torn and thick. It has 200 g/m² (for comparison, photocopy paper has 90 g/m²). It is acid free, perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
The headbands were sewn by hand from gold and black thread and create a beautiful model at the head and tale of the book. The endpages are made of handmarbled paper with red, brown and black veins and speckles on a white background, and gold sprinkles.
