I chose a subtle contrast between the cream of the leather and the silver areas with marbled texture, and the monochrome dark accents around the edges of the central panels. The entire binding has a fascinating look due to the difference in textures and contrasts.
This is a large journal, it measures 7.3 x 10.2 inches (18.5 x 26 cm). It has 136 pages (272 sides) of artist quality paper, Modigliani Bianco. The paper is warm white, hand torn and has a medium thickness (140 gsm) being perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
The headbands were handsewn from white and silver silk thread and create a beautiful model at the head and tale of the book. The endpages are made of hand painted paper with silver veins on a black background.
