Natural Leather Journal with Heart Decoration, "Diary of a True Love" in Red

This journal is bound in a special way, an original technique that divides the front cover in two halves that open like a window to reveal the inside of the book. The binding is made in natural leather that was not dyed, it has a beautiful light cream color with slightly darker shades and a few red accents. It has a feminine romantic look. I chose this very elaborate decoration which I blind tooled into the leather to give the impression of lace, or perhaps of a stone sculpture where the main feature is the tactile, bi-dimensional perception. The heart symbol was painted red and given a worn look.

The book measures 4.5x4.5 inches (11x 11 cm). It is filled with warm white Conqueror Connoisseur 100% cotton paper. This paper is acid free, has 100 gsm and will work great for writing in wet and dry media.

The endpages are made of marbled paper with a red, brown and black veins. The notebook is closing in front with a natural leather stripe.

This journal is an art object. Would make a great diary and / or a present for the one you love. It can also be an original guest book for your wedding or the secret notebook where you put down your vows.
