This antiqued looking journal is made of a beautiful piece of leather that has ridges and dark veins on its surface. It inspired me to combine it with a flower pattern that I freely hand tooled with gold foil onto the leather. Its patina and wear give it the charm of a book with history.
It measures 7.3x10.2 inches (18.5x26 cm). It is filled with blank writing paper, it has 190 pages (380 sides) of Favini Tree Free paper, which is made 75% from bamboo and 25% from cotton. These high quality fibers give it a smooth and natural look as well as a soft finish. It has a warm white color and 120 g/m². The pages are hand torn and the paper works well with ink and any writing media. It is acid free and does not bleed through.
The endpapers are made of hand marbled paper with black veins on a brown background. The headbands are hand sewn from gold and black threads.
