Brown leather journal with blind tooled decoration, Monochrome Textures

This is a large blank book bound in high quality goatskin of a soft brown color. The tooled decoration creates a beautiful texture and gives this book a very tactile feel. The design was finished with patina to look aged. It is new, but has the personality and charm of a book with history. The design is tooled by hand in detail, reminding of the medieval tomes, when great care was paid to every aspect involved in the making of a book. 

The book measures 7.5 x 8.3 inches (18.5 x 26 cm). It has 126 pages (252 sides) of Favini mixed media artist paper. The paper is white, with a smooth tooth, hand torn and has 180 g/m². It is acid free, perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor. 

The endpapers are made of hand marbled paper, brown with black veins. The headbands are hand-sewn from brown and grey thread.
