This decorative journal is bound in dark green veg tanned goatskin. I decorated the cover with geometrical and floral motifs to give it a bohemian elegant look, using gold and a lighter emerald green color for the fleurons. The decoration was made with heated brass tools, each element at a time.
The notebook measures a little over 6x8 inches (16x21 cm). It has 150 pages (300 sides) of Favini Shiro Alga paper, an ecological paper produced from algae in Venice Lagoon. The seaweed particles are visible on the surface to give a unique natural look and its ivory color makes it fit perfectly the overall old feel of this book. The paper is hand torn, has 120gsm, and it will hold well ink, dip pens, gel and ball pens, markers and any dry media.
