Antiqued Brown Leather Journal with Gold Tooled Decoration. Queen's Book
This one of a kind journal is made of antiqued goatskin with beautiful tones varying from brown-red to dark brown. I designed it to have a classic aspect, to look like a mysterious tome found on the shelves of a medieval library or a royal treasure. The decoration was made by gold tooling by hand with heated brass tools, each small element at the time.
The notebook measures 7.2 x 10.2 inches (18.5 x 26 cm). It has 104 pages (208 sides) of Fabriano artist quality paper, warm beige color, slightly textured and hand torn. The paper is thick, it has 200 g/m² (for comparison, photocopy paper has 90 g/m²). It is acid free, perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
The headbands are hand sewn with gold and black colored threads. The endpapers are made of handmade marbled paper with brown and black veins.
This book is an art object. I hope you will love it once you’ll meet it.
