This romantic journal is bound in grey goatskin with a purple hue and a smooth antiqued finish. The cover is decorated in fine detail with floral motifs which give it a classical luxurious look. The decoration was made with heated brass tools and metallic silver foil, each element at a time, using a combination of free hand tooling and fleurons like flower buds, leaves and very fine points.
The book measures 7.3 x 10.2 inches (26 x 18.5 cm). It has 134 pages (268 sides) of Canson artist quality paper, white color, blank, 140 g/m². The paper is hand torn and works for writing, drawing, inks and could even be used for wet media like light washes and watercolor. It is acid free and does not bleed through.
The headbands are sewn from black thread and silver metallic thread. They create a beautiful model at the head and the tale of the book. The endpapers are made of marbled paper with grey, yellow, silver and black veins.
