I have just finished these two bindings, they are much the same model but bound in different leather colors. I really like the design of the covers and tooling it each little element at a time is a very contemplative process for me, somehow like meditation. I normally listen to music or audiobooks while I work but when I tool these covers I work in silence and get lost in thoughts. I'm grateful to bookbinding for sometimes being a very kind and permissive craft.
I plan to make these in more colors. Lately I have been working a lot with hand dyed green leather, I love the color, but I can imagine the same pattern on white or black leather. Hopefully soon!
