This one of a kind, large leather journal is bound in high quality goatskin of dark brown color. The tooled decoration creates a beautiful texture and gives this book a tactile feel. The design was completed with some tiny golden dots only to enhance it's rich antique look. It is new, but has the personality and the charm of a book with history. The design is tooled by hand in detail, one element at a time, reminding of the medieval tomes, when great care was paid to every aspect involved in the making of a book.
This blank book measures 10.2 x 7.5 inches (26 x 19 cm). It has 114 pages (228 sides) of artist quality paper with parchment finish. This is Favini Laguna paper, hand torn, (180g/m²) and will work for both writing and sketching in any media, including watercolor.
The endpapers are made of hand marbled paper with black and brown veins. The headbands are hand-sewn from brown and black thread.
