This blank journal is bound in dark green goatskin with a beautiful antique finish. The cover is decorated in fine detail with floral motifs which gives it a romantic precious look. The decoration was made with heated brass tools, each element at a time, using a combination of free hand tooling and ornaments like flower buds, leaves and fine points.
The notebook measures 7.3 x 10.2 inches (18.5x26 cm) and has a total of 114 pages (228 sides) of Favini Laguna artist paper with parchment finish. This paper is acid free, hand-torn, has 180 gsm and will work for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
The headband is sewn from green silk and gold metallic thread. It creates a beautiful model at the head and the tale of the book. The endpapers are made of hand marbledpaper with black veins on a brown background.
