This one of a kind, elegant leather binding is covered in rich, deep crimson-red leather with a fine, natural grain. It features an elaborate gold tooling, contrasting black leather inlays / onlays, and a highly structured geometric design. I carefully tooled concentric rectangular frames and delicate decorative borders with fine gold dots, to create a sense of depth and architectural precision. At the center of each cover there are panels made of black leather inlays and on the spine four panels made of black leather onlays, decorated with floral elements, unifying the composition.
The book measures 7.5 x 8.7 inches (19x22 cm). It has 114 pages (228 sides) of artist paper. The paper is Favini Prisma in warm white / ivory, slightly textured, hand torn and it has 160g/m². It is acid free, perfect for writing and sketching in any media, even watercolor.
The end pages are made of hand marbled paper with black and brown veins. The headbands are made of red silk and gold metallic threads.
